About The Event

Learn a 100% Afro-centric self-defense style created by a 5x Grand Champion! ShunGun-da was created in 1970 by Yahama Tunson who started training at the age of 7 under the instruction of Grand Master Ping S Choi unil obtaining an 8th degree black belt in Moo do Kwan Yae Kwan Do. He then went on to Kung Fu Norther Style under different instructors, Fhundisha Raymond Cooper, Grand Master G Hoo and Grand Master Fhundisha Tamiqua, who taught the African Banda where he went on to create his own Afro-American self defense after researching historical facts that Africans were the true creators of hand-to-hand combat, long before Chinese and Japanese. Yahama Tunson created his own African American self-defense course and he entitled it ShuGunda Tam, Nine Fist Form an adaption of the Dance of Death. He was taught this in a 100% Afro-Centric way, in hopes to bring back the last culture in the community to remember out roots. The first class was contruction of all black belts who joined with Yahama after witnessing his god-giving talents and it's supremacy over other styles. ShuGun-da is not a sport, it was taught in 100% tribal context. The treachings of African Banda togue along with dance health and a therapeutic reginmen of training.
